Siblings, in this economy
Finn Finneran
Remember back when
we was living in the circle
laughing at Urkel,
man those kids were hurtful
playing mary mack,
saying homey don’t play that?
See, I’m the big sister
and can’t stand you whimper
Bopped you with the sock on the tick tock
with the quick shots And now I know it’s
whack, and I’m sorry for all that
We were just kids but you
really was a baby
watching Barney with a teletubby
Mom worked in West V
measuring some lady tees
Made in those factories way out overseas
Groceries and micky-dees,
that was our Friday eve Then
home with the food bags,
neighbors saw two halves kids
said we rich white full fridge resourceful
Some of that is true and some of that is not
But now I’m out in Cali and I don’t make a lick
And you’re still in VA, at least you got a whip
Hip pains and knee aches, we all walk a limp
This is how we know,
we’re post Reagan babies
Eating what we want, but then diabetes.
I’m back in school and you’ll drive a school bus
We’ll make it through, even if it’s just
us.
